Armuchee hosted the state's finest AA wrestlers at the State Wrestling Championship Tournament on February 8th and 9th. Armuchee's Nathan Weekley won his second state championship (189 lbs.), having won last year at 171 lbs.
In the last twenty-four years, twenty-six Armuchee wrestlers have won thirty-four state championships. The first time the State Tournament was held here in 1981, Armuchee wrestlers won 6 state championships and their first of four Team state championships. |
